The intensely informative drawings of Will Weston. Will considers himself an introductory teacher who helps students on their artistic journeys and career development.

Jennifer Gennari painted the grisaille (grey) level of a portrait. This is a small portion of the full video course available on our website. Hope you enjoy the hypnotic awesomeness that is this little video 🙂

We had an amazing two days with our students during Jennifer Gennari’s oil painting workshop in our two studio spaces.

Our students were engaged, talented, kind and we had a dog or two make a cameo! Can’t wait to do it again.

How about a 7-minute clip of Will Weston on-location drawing and discussing objects in a landscape and ground planes? https://youtu.be/gaPWSoInpLw

    Hello Folks,

Here is an amazing video of Jennifer Gennari @Jennifer_Gennari painting two tigers.

This video gives great insight into Jennifer’s painting process.

Over a stained canvas, the light drawing is transferred. From there, the darks are placed first and the values are worked from darkest to lightest. Jennifer spends lots of time working on the middle values, which takes a great deal of patience and discipline. The details come towards the very end and of course, the background puts the whole thing in context.

We were lucky enough to collect this one at Drawing America 🙂

This next video is from Alex Hillkurtz’s live Zoom class. He paints a demo every week live during class. This was from the 10/29/23 class. https://vimeo.com/882492978?share=copy The live demo takes about 1 hour. Thank you to @annabellemusic for allowing us to use her beautiful version of Belleville rendez-vous for the music.
