I am a retired from the practice of law- big Atlanta law firm – corporate and commercial real estate practice for 30+ years.  As a single mother of 2 boys, I worked my ass off for 30+ years to support my boys, put them through private school, even coaching them in baseball and soccer (their dad wasn’t around and didn’t help at all…).   I moved from Atlanta to Jacksonville Beach 6 years ago, after several life-changing disasters and casualties that forced me to realize it was time to make a major change in my life.  SO, now I live at the beach and finally have the time to pursue my art.  I was an art major in college (focused on sculpture), but not good enough to make a living from it, hence I went to law school.

Over the past few years, I’ve taken classes and workshops in pastel (which I love) , acrylics (which I didn’t love) and now oils  (which I love), mainly landscapes. Recently, after being asked by friends and family to paint their pets, I’ve been trying my hand at animal portraits.  My passion now is painting. I’m having so much fun (WAY more “fun”than practicing law…), and am determined to get good…or, at least,  MUCH better.
