We are so excited to be hosting in Bushwick at this amazing space!
Join collage artist Bianca Dunn for a creativity jumpstart! Bianca will provide the evening’s “HOLIDAY PROMPT” and then offer guidance.
Enjoy a glass of wine during this collage “improv” designed to loosen up your creativity. Get your hands moving while you cut, rip, tear, tie, layer, and paste with artistic guidance from Bianca.
We will also share and talk about our work at the end of the session.
PLEASE BRING any materials you would like to work with. We have materials but hope you will also bring in any magazines, printouts, ribbons, ties, etc.
We encourage mask use but they are optional for this session.
Bianca Dunn is an interdisciplinary artist from Sacramento, CA, working in paint, collage, textiles, illustration, and immersive installations. She uses bold shapes as symbols of her own mixed identity–she is Mexican, Chinese, American, an artist, a scientist, a woman, a descendant of immigrants–and she explores the harmony created when they converge. Dunn received her B.S. in microbiology at UC Santa Barbara and worked in research at NYU Langone, UC Santa Barbara, and University of Washington before creating art full time. Her science background continues to influence her interest in fluidity, ambiguity, and accessibility. She is currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
