Join Drawing America for a ‘Sketch and Sip’ drawing session. Draw a live costumed model themed in Swing inspired clothing while we listen the live sounds of Benny Benack III and his all-star band playing in the rotunda.

Share your work at the breaks, take in an exhibit and come back for more sketching. Materials are provided or bring your own pencils and paper. We can’ wait to see you!

Please Note: When you arrive you will need to get a separate ticket to the museum. This will be Pay What You Wish at the door.

About the Performer:
By age 30, trumpeter and singer Benny Benack III has proven to be the rarest of talents. A fiery trumpet player, singer, and highly capable pianist, Benack performs internationally as an Emcee/Host for Postmodern Jukebox. Alongside his global touring as a straight-ahead/contemporary bandleader, he has appeared as a trumpet soloist on television, in commercial circles alongside Josh Groban, Ben Folds, fashion icon Isaac Mizrahi, and Ann Hampton Callaway, and at leading New York venues such as Birdland and Jazz @ Lincoln Center.
