Eudes CorreiaCentral Park and Studio Workshop
Day one in Central Park and day two in-studio.
Join artist Eudes Correia for his first US watercolor workshop in nearly 5 years. This is a rare opportunity to study with Eudes in two ideal settings: Central Park on day one and in-studio on day two.
Day One begins with an artist demonstration on how to compose a scene on location. Students will then create their own work from what they learned while receiving artist feedback. There will be a break from 3:30 – 4:30 followed by the afternoon session.
Day Two in the more controlled environment of the studio we will take our outdoor paintings and develop them into more finished works focusing more deeply on, drawing, volume, tonal value, perspective, and how to execute these specifically in watercolor.
50% of the time we study the technique and another 50% of the time we put it into practice, making a painting by watching Eudes paint a demo and the students observe, then the students paint and Eudes accompanies and guides the process.
Eudes Correia: Plein Air Watercolor in Nature (Early Session)
September 25 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am EDT
Painting the Figure in Nature
This workshop will focus on traditional watercolor techniques while using modern tools like cellphone cameras for image selection. Students will first survey locations and learn what makes a strong composition. Following this, they will watch a teacher demonstration. Students will then make sketches and paint from the live view (not their photos).
