Drawing New York is thrilled to host two hours of fashion drawing as part of The Museum of Arts and Design’s exhibition Counter-Couture Handmade Fashion in an American Counterculture: celebrating the handmade fashion and style of the 1960s and 1970s.
Tickets to this event include admission to all open floors and exhibitions currently on view at MAD; a full set of art supplies to keep (drawing pad, set of colored pencils, sharpener, and eraser); and a reserved seat at the event.

Guests will sketch from two live models dressed in the fashion of the time as well as dozens of amazing exhibition pieces.
Drawing pads, pencils and erasers are provided by the museum. There are seats for everyone.

We will listen to late 60’s psychedelic, Woodstock rock’n’roll during the session.
This session is open to sketchers of all levels from beginners to pros! This is a great chance to meet others artist and fashionistas.

We can’t wait to see you!
About the Exhibition: Counter-Couture: Handmade Fashion in an American Counterculture celebrates the handmade fashion and style of the 1960s and 1970s. Often referred to as the hippie movement, the Counterculture swept away the conformism of the previous decade and professed an alternative lifestyle whose effects still resonate today.
